Working with Neglect and Neglectful Parenting
The aim of this course is to give participants an understanding of what constitutes neglectful parenting and consider professional responses that take into consideration developmental needs of children.
For: Managers and Supervisors, Social Workers, Children & Family Support, Foster Care, Residential Workers, Youth Support Service Staff, Youth Offending Team, Children Centre Staff
The course considers findings from recent enquiries and findings from 124 cases where neglectful parenting as been a feature. Areas covered include 8 types of neglect and how to identify and work with them.
Course content can also be tailored to meet specific organisational requirements following consultation where specific focus has been identified e.g. through Ofsted recommendations.
